This month we enjoyed our very popular, annual sausage sizzle. Sadly, this year, due to the intense heat and drought we were unable to use our fire pit for obvious safety concerns. Our lovely Lisa, decorated our fire pit with foliage and battery-operated candles and it looked beautiful. Some members had previously erected a fire shelter and a wash tent for nostalgia, which evoked conversations of bygone years! Sausages were cooked in the oven and very much enjoyed. We had a French Boule competition, camp fire singing and an enrolment. We invited guests, and Caroline Steer supported our talented Viv who plays the guitar, with the campfire singing. A wonderful evening.
